(in this case - jewelry) is to give him hints, very obvious hints.
Such as:
Leave a magazine open to the page with the jewelry you like where he can see it such as the coffee table or kitchen table.
Cut
a picture out of the magazine and tape it to objects where he is most
vulnerable, the refrigerator or the TV remote. He has to see it there.
When
you are watching TV together and a commercial comes on showing a piece
of jewelry you want, say "Isn't that beautiful? I would love one of
those." (Say it with feelings of emotion.)
